My name is Te Lawrence, and Karate is my life.
Now, I know that a lot of people think Karate is only about learning how to fight...and defend yourself... But the truth is, It's So Much More
...It's really a way of life.
It's about connecting your inner-strength - what the Chinese call “chi”. It's about accomplishing goals you never thought you could. It's about respecting your body and your mind.
You feel a boundless inner strength
strength that you might not even see in yourself right now.
You discover how to stay calm
even when everything around you is hectic, and unstable.
And you develop the confidence to tackle any challenge
succeed - because through mastering Karate you see that you can do anything you set your mind to.
And the way Karate helps you connect to your “chi” is through the techniques of the martial arts.
Techniques that give you a GREAT workout, too
Our Karate classes are the perfect way to do just that! With every class, your body moves in new and exciting ways, challenging your legs with different kicks and stances, and your arms with striking, blocking, and holding special stances. And the best part? Because Karate engages your whole body, those extra pounds will practically melt away.
All in all, it's a life-changing experience.
But Karate isn't just about weight loss. It's a transformative experience that can change your life. Our instructors are dedicated to showing you how to defend yourself, and also how to tap into the inner peace and calm that's inside all of us. With Karate, you'll learn to control your body and your mind, giving you the confidence to face any challenge that comes your way. Come see for yourself how Karate can change your life!
It relieves tension and stress.
It relieves back, neck, and other body pain from the relaxing stretching, and constant movement of the body.
And it strengthens your spirit as you tackle challenge after challenge - always succeeding Aways coming out on top.
There's a reason it's been around so long: It works.
And now, I'd like the opportunity to bring it to you, too.
My son has been practicing Karate for a few months now, and the changes in him are amazing. He is now able to handle situations without getting agitated and losing his temper. I can see that he is much calmer and more in control of his emotions.
He's become more respectful towards people, and he treats everyone with kindness and courtesy. It's wonderful to see that he's become more appreciative of his family and friends. I'm so proud of him for learning how to make his life even better, not just in terms of self-defense but also by improving his overall personality

I can't believe the transformation I've seen in my teen since they started Karate. They now have a toned and flat stomach that they've never had before. Even when they let their stomach hang out, I can see their muscles.
I remember how self-conscious they used to be about their body, but now they feel confident and energized when they wear a swimsuit or workout clothes. Karate has really made a difference in their physical health and self-esteem.

I was amazed when my teen told me how they handled a difficult situation at a party. They accidentally bumped into someone, and that person started yelling and screaming, calling them names.
Instead of backing down, my teen looked them straight in the eyes and politely said, "Hey, I'm sorry for bumping you. I don't want to fight, but if we have to, let's go outside." And the other person backed down.
I'm so proud of my teen for using the self-defense skills they learned in Karate to handle a tough situation.

Karate is a full-body workout that burns tons of calories. Many people lose weight regardless of diet changes. Of course when you eat right that makes the weight loss even faster. But either way, you're going to drop pounds if you have any pounds to drop.
This isn't like running on a treadmill for hours and hours... You'll be learning something new and exciting... Accomplishing challenges you never thought you could... Growing in physical strength, and in mental and spiritual strength...
Nothing relieves more than good, hard exercise. Add to that punching and kicking - and you're looking at the most powerful form stress relief known to man! This alone makes Karate worth it to so many people who don't have an outlet for their stress. When stress is suddenly gone from your life, it leaves space inside of you for good feelings to come.
Often are just one class people tell us how they feel like they've known everyone for years. That's because we place a big emphasis on creating not just a great martial arts environment - but a family environment. You'll feel like part of the family in no time. And you'll know your among people who really care about you and your success.
Say goodbye to feeling scared when walking alone at night or worrying about how to defend yourself in case of an attack. With martial arts training, you will learn essential skills to protect yourself and escape danger. Whether you're at home, school, or out and about, you'll feel confident and safe. You'll radiate self-assurance, and your fears will disappear.
Feel confident in your ability to defend yourself,
and your loved ones. This confidence alone scares away most attackers. When they see how calm and cool you are - they'll think twice. I've seen it happen countless times.
As teens learn and practice Karate, they develop important life skills that extend beyond self-defense. One of the noticeable changes that parents observe in their teens is an increase in patience toward their siblings.
Karate instills values such as self-control, discipline, and respect for others, which are essential to Karate practice as well as everyday life. With consistent training, teens are equipped with the tools to manage their emotions and respond to situations in a calmer, more controlled manner.
This newfound patience can help improve sibling relationships and overall family dynamics. So if you notice your teen becoming more patient with their siblings, you can attribute it to their Karate training!
Martial arts are about more than being able to defend yourself, It’s a way of life. It teaches you to control your mind, your, Body, and your Emotions. You feel calmer, and more confident, everywhere you go.
Imagine having the quick, graceful movements of a tiger, or a panther, a crane, or a snake. And imagine having that agility combined with inner-peace, and unshakeable confidence. The kind of confidence that makes you glow and radiate. The kind that people not only see on your face - but feel coming from you. This is the goal of Karate. It has been ever since it started, over 2,000 years ago.
Your body will become faster, stronger, and leaner. Your mind will become sharper, and more alert. And your soul will feel peaceful and calm. Like the still waters of a lake.
In short, Karate is a path to a peaceful life. The self-defense and techniques is merely a tool to get you there.
It is always possible to get hurt in any sport or physical activity, but the risk of injury in Karate is relatively low. Karate instructors place a strong emphasis on safety, and students are taught proper techniques to prevent injuries.
Additionally, all classes are closely supervised to ensure that everyone is practicing safely. As with any physical activity, it is important to listen to your body, communicate with your instructor, and take any necessary precautions, such as warming up properly and wearing protective gear.
Not at all! In fact, many of our students are people who just never liked any other sports. They were never athletic before joining this class. Now, though, thy're in better shape than just about anyone else they know! They're lean, fit, and feeling great.
So if you're not athletic already - don't worry. We'll help you get there.
Our Karate classes are designed to challenge students of all levels, but we also understand that every student is different. We have a team of highly trained and experienced instructors who will work with your teen to ensure that they feel comfortable and confident in every class.
Our classes are designed to be tough, but also fun and rewarding. We encourage all of our students to push themselves to their limits, but we also emphasize the importance of listening to your body and taking breaks when needed. With dedication and practice, we believe that every student can succeed in our Karate program.
No, learning Karate teaches self-discipline, respect for others, and self-control. Students are taught that the techniques they learn in class are only to be used for self-defense, and never to be used to intimidate or bully others.
In fact, many Karate schools have strict codes of conduct that prohibit bullying, and encourage students to be kind and respectful to each other both inside and outside the dojo.
I can't tell you how many times I've heard our Teen students say, “This is one of the funniest things I've EVER done!” Martial Arts is hard work... it's a tough workout... but beneath it all...
Okay, I had no idea what I was capable of before I started Karate. At first, it was difficult because my body was not used to the movements, but now I feel so flexible and full of energy.
I wake up ready to take on the day and have more energy for everything in my life, including my family, friends, and schoolwork.
Karate has taught me that I can achieve things I never thought possible. It's not just about self-defense, it's about improving your life in every way.
Give it a try and see how it can change your life... for the better!
I know a lot of people take Karate for self-defense... But to be honest my main goal was to lose some weight. Believe me, you WILL lose weight with this! I can already see the pounds melting right off!
Every class is full of great fat-melting workouts. And as an added bonus, I now know how to defend myself. It's the best of both worlds. Whether you're looking to lose weight, or for self-defense, this is the real deal.
